Dear SCPA-German Village School Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. We are thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. We hope that you were able to relax and make special memories with your families and friends. Now it is time to look forward to an amazing new school year as we are “HATS- Helping All Succeed” at SCPA – German Village.
Personally, I am very excited to begin my first year at SCPA-German Village and meet all of your families. I come with a wealth of experience in education with over 10 years in the charter school community. Most recently, I served in multiple roles at a local dropout prevention high school in the South Liden community. Having two young children of my own, I know how important it is to feel confident in the leadership of your child’s academic achievement.
Our outstanding staff of educators have been in the school throughout the summer to prepare all our classrooms for the new school year. We are grateful to all our amazing support staff that worked all summer to get our school into pristine shape. Our administrative staff are working hard to ensure a smooth start for staff, students, and families.
SCPA at German Village is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have extremely high expectations for each and every student. Our students are kind, compassionate, and eager to learn. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. At SCPA, we believe that behavior expectations establish lifelong values with our students- the kind of values that create ignited and empowered leaders. Our values align with our four key pillars:
- IGNITE student interest through exposure, problem solving & fun
- INSPIRE students to meet their full potential
- EMPOWER our kids to be agents of change
- Cultivate young people to LEAD
We are excited to welcome new faces to our school this year as well.
Partnering with families is a passion of mine and such a crucial part of promoting a healthy transition to school both socially and emotionally. We recognize that students may be feeling anxious and overwhelmed at the start of the new school year and we will continue to place strong emphasis on social emotional learning while focusing on building classroom community. We encourage you to stay connected and informed by following our district website, as well as, our Facebook Page.
Please reach out to myself or our office manager with any questions or concerns or email us at: info@scpagermanvillage.org
